Travels with S/Y Thetis
1997
Aegean - Southern Turkey

This is a very personal log of a 4 month period covering 3 sailing trips with my boat, Thetis, in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean. The first trip was from Glyfada a suburb of Athens, Greece to the Aegean islands of Kea, Andros, Psara, Chios, Oinouses, and Samos. There follows a period of staying ashore in our family house in Samos. Then there was a short trip from Samos to the islands of Arki, Patmos, Agathonisi and back to Samos. The third trip which lasted over 2 months started in Samos and covered a few Aegean islands (Pharmakonisi, Kos, and Niseros) on our way to the coast of Southern Turkey (Datça to Antalya), the remote Greek island of Kastellorizo, and the long return back to Glyfada via the islands of Karpathos, Kasos, Crete, the Cyclades (Milos, Sifnos, Serifos, Kithnos), and the island of Aegina.
