Travels with S/Y Thetis

Thetis 2016: Aegean

This is a very personal account of the sailing trips from mid August to October 2016 with S/Y Thetis, in the Aegean. There were three separate trips:

Leros to Samos,
Samos to Levitha & back to Samos,
Samos to Kea,
Kea to Samos,
Samos to Patmos & back to Samos,
Samos to Leros.

The highlights of these trips are:

Thetis is launched.
A week excursion with our old friends and neighbors Douglas and Molly McMillan.
Thetis engine unexpectetly stalls.
After 4 years I meet again my Australian friends Angela and John with their S/Y.
I visit my brother Byron in Kea.
I meet Grigoris and Maria Tsitsas and his friends with S/Y Scarlett while waiting out as gale in Schinousa.
I take an unscheduled dive in Lakki damaging my Kindle e-book.
With the help of friends we harvest the grapes in Kalami, Samos.
A 4 day excursion with my family.
Thetis is hauled out for the winter.
